(2020 works do not come with COA) ✖️Title: when I was thirsty, you gave me drink | if we feed each other, we can live forever —. ➕➕Jesus is believed that have said, “when I was thirsty you gave me drunk.” It’s assumed this refers to a longing for an end to suffering. I strongly feel this piece reflects the dichotomy Jesus’s cry through the black mans cry to end suffering; yet a young girl gives water to her younger brother. The subtitle reflects my belief in the power of unity and the idea that if we truly feed (nourish, care, support, uplift, love) each other. Each other = black community and everyone uplifting the black community, the BIPOC community, all genders, all sexualities and underrepresented minorities across the world; then we can live and not only live but thrive FOREVER.
