✝️☪️ 💦✊🏽✊🏿✊🏾 ✖️Title: when I was hungry, you gave me something to eat - 2020 AD ➕➕ Series: if we feed each other, we can eat forever — (24Wx30Lx1.5D” inches.) c. 2020 ➕➕Jesus is believed to have said, “when I was hungry you gave me eat.” It’s assumed this refers to a longing for an end to suffering. I strongly feel this piece reflects the dichotomy of Jesus’s cry through the black mans cry in 2020 AD to end suffering; yet a young girl gives food to her younger brother. The subtitle reflects my belief in the power of unity and the idea that if we truly feed (nourish, care, support, uplift, love) each other. Each other = black community and everyone uplifting the black community, the BIPOC community, all genders, all sexualities and underrepresented minorities across the world; then we can live and not only live but thrive FOREVER. ➕➕Original artwork acrylic and soft pastel on canvas.
